About Kathy

Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She and her certified therapy dog, Theo, volunteer for the Faithful Paws organization to bring comfort to people in a variety of environments. She can bring Theo into sessions for those who especially love and connect with animals. Kathy also volunteers for Sugar Creek Baptist Church as a Transformation Prayer Ministry mentor.
She and her husband, Scott, have lived in Sugar Land since 1988 when they first married. They have three adult children.
Kathy is a Licenced Professional Counselor. She is certified through several organizations for her advanced training: Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), Certified Positive Discipline Parent coach, and Certified Grief Specialist in the Grief Recovery Method. She is also trained in trained in Adlerian Play Therapy for children ages 3, Clinical Sand Tray Therapy, and EMDR.
