About Kathy

Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She and her therapy dog, Theo, volunteer for the Faithful Paws organization to bring comfort to people in a variety of environments. Kathy also volunteers for Sugar Creek Baptist Church as a Transformation Prayer Ministry mentor.
She and her husband, Scott, have lived in Sugar Land since 1988 when they first married. They have three adult children.
Kathy is trained in Adlerian Play Therapy for children ages 3 and up and has completed the advanced level of Sand Tray Therapy through the Texas Sandtray Association. She is also certified in the Positive Discipline method for parents and runs group parent coaching sessions throughout the year.
Additionally, Kathy is a certified Grief Recovery Method specialist and offers Helping Children with Loss trainings to educators, caretakers, and parents.
